Solving Quadratic Equations: The Square Root Method

This method of solving quadratic equations depends on the operation of square root being the opposite of squaring.

Solving Quadratic Equations by the Square Root Method
1) Write the equation so that the square and everything the square applies to are the only things one one side of the equation.
2) Cancel the square by square rooting both sides remembering to include the plus or minus symbol after canceling.
3) Solve the remaining equation.
