Excel Project 1: Pie Chart, Time Series, Pareto Chart
Directions: Follow the step by step instructions to create the pie chart, the time series and the pareto chart described in the instructions. Then choose a data set from the book or a data set you are interested in to create a pie chart, time series, or a pareto chart. Let me know where you got the data from and what the data is describing. Email the excel files to me at asartor@fscj.edu. There should be a total of 4 excel files emailed to me.

Grading
Excel project 1 is worth 100 points. You will earn 25 points for completion of the Pie Chart, 25 points for completion of the Pareto Chart, 25 points for the completion of the Time Series and 25 points for completion of the fourth chart of your choosing. Your grade will be recorded as a percentage.
Excel Project 2: Descriptive Statistics
Directions: Follow the step by step instructions to calculate the measures of central tendency and measures of variation. Save the excel file with the name yourlastnameDescriptiveStatistics.xlsx and email me the excel file to me at asartor@fscj.edu

Excel project 2 is worth 75 points. The calculations for central tendency will count for 25 points. The measures of variation will count for 25 points. Using the stats package will count for 25 points. Your grade will be recorded as a percentage.
Excel Project 3: Frequency Distribution Qualitative Data
Directions: Follow the step by step instructions to build a frequency distribution from raw data. After building the frequency distribution, use the frequency distribution to build a pie chart. You can use the step by step instructions from excel project 1 to remind you how to build the pie chart.

Excel Project 4: Grouped Data Frequency Distribution
Directions: Follow the step by step instructions to build a cumulative frequency distribution from raw data. You will need to find the class limits and type the upper class boundaries as you enter the data. Excel project 4 is worth 50 points. Filling out the blank frequency distribution is worth 25 points and the cumulative frequency distribution in excel is worth 25 points. The points will be converted to a percentage. Turn in the the filled out frequency distribution in class or scan it and send it to me.
Excel Project 5: Correlation and Regression
Directions: Follow the step by step instructions to build a scatter diagram, find R, and find a trend line for the paired data. When your spreadsheet is complete, save the file with the filename yourlastname_Regression.xlsx.
